Dear E-Activist,
More and more of us are learning firsthand the
destruction caused by Governor Christie’s cuts. Our
children’s education is being starved of funding,
experienced teachers are being laid off, building trades
unemployment was once again overlooked following the
Governor’s cancellation of the ARC Tunnel project, we
are fighting to save jobs at NJN and preserve a news
station dedicated to New Jersey, and privatization has
begun to run rampant.
The Governor’s latest target for privatization, are the
Turnpike workers. To learn the facts about what
privatization would mean to these workers, we invite
you to attend an educational discussion session at the
Rutgers Labor Education Center in New Brunswick.

The Turnpike workers are in a fight that concerns all of
us because the Governor’s cuts have the potential to
reach all of us. By educating ourselves on the fight we
face, we take the first steps necessary to establish a
solid defense.
